Liu Ye
Liu Ye ('Willow Leaf') is the legendary first ruler of Funan, a queen named in Chinese histories from the 3rd century onward. According to them, she led an attack on a foreign ship but was defeated by its passenger Kaundinya, or Hun Tian, who married her and founded the ruling line. Later Khmer tradition identifies her with Soma, a naga princess, as the ancestress of Cambodian kings.
