Londinium

Londinium was the Roman city on the site of London, founded around 50 CE at the lowest bridging point of the Thames. Destroyed by Boudica's revolt in 60 or 61, it was rebuilt and became the largest city and probable capital of Roman Britain, with a forum, basilica, amphitheatre and, from around 200, a defensive wall.
