Longxi Commandery
Longxi Commandery was a commandery established by the state of Qin in the early 3rd century BCE in the upper Wei River valley of south-eastern Gansu. Retained by the Qin and Han empires, it guarded the routes to the west, and it gave its name to the Li clan of Longxi, from which the Tang emperors claimed descent.
