Lough Gill

Lough Gill is a freshwater lake on the border of counties Sligo and Leitrim in north-west Ireland, drained by the Garavogue River through the town of Sligo. It holds many small islands, among them Innisfree, made famous by W. B. Yeats's poem "The Lake Isle of Innisfree". The O'Rourke lords of West Breifne had their seat at Dromahair, near its eastern end.
