Dromahair

Dromahair is a village in County Leitrim, Ireland, on the River Bonet near Lough Gill. It was the main seat of the O'Rourke lords of Breifne and later West Breifne, and in 1152 it was the scene of the abduction of Derbforgaill, wife of Tigernán Ua Ruairc, by Diarmait Mac Murchada, an episode later linked to the Norman invasion of Ireland. The ruins of Creevelea Friary lie nearby.
