Derbforgaill
Derbforgaill was an Irish noblewoman, daughter of Murchad Ua Máel Sechlainn, king of Mide, and wife of Tigernán Ua Ruairc, king of Breifne. In 1152 she was carried off, apparently willingly, by Diarmait Mac Murchada of Leinster. The resulting feud contributed to Diarmait's expulsion from Ireland in 1166 and his appeal to Henry II, which led to the Anglo-Norman invasion. She later retired to Mellifont Abbey, where she died.
