County Leitrim
County Leitrim is a county in the north-west of Ireland, on the upper Shannon. It corresponds roughly to West Breifne, the lordship of the O'Rourkes, which the English administration shired as Leitrim in the 1580s after the O'Rourkes' defeat. In the early 17th century it was planted with English settlers.
