Lueji
Lueji (Rweej) is the legendary queen of the Lunda of central Africa, heiress of a Lunda ruling line on the upper Kasai. According to Lunda oral tradition she married the Luba hunter-prince Chibinda Ilunga, who brought the Luba model of sacred kingship, and their line founded the Lunda state of the Mwaant Yaav. Tradition links her brothers' departure in protest with the origins of the Imbangala and Lwena (Luvale) polities.
