Also known as Ganda language

Luganda is the Bantu language of the Baganda of central Uganda. It is spoken as a first language by several million people and as a second language by many more, making it the most widely spoken indigenous language of Uganda. It was written in the Latin alphabet by missionaries from the 1870s, and a substantial literature, including histories of Buganda's kings, appeared from around 1900.
