Lysimachia
Lysimachia was a Greek city on the isthmus of the Gallipoli peninsula in Thrace, founded by Lysimachus in 309 BCE as his capital. After his death it changed hands among the Hellenistic powers, and Antigonus II Gonatas defeated invading Gauls nearby in 277 BCE. Thracians destroyed it around 200 BCE; Antiochus III rebuilt it, but it declined in Roman times.
