Mandalgarh
Mandalgarh is a hill fort and town in the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan, on the plateau north-east of Chittor. Contested for centuries between Mewar, the sultans of Malwa and the Mughals, it was one of the main strongholds of eastern Mewar. Mughal forces held it during the wars with Maharana Pratap, and with Chittor it remained outside his control at his death in 1597.
