4th century BCE · 4th century BCE

Metrodorus of Chios was a Greek philosopher of the fourth century BCE in the atomist tradition of Democritus. Through his pupils the tradition passed to Anaxarchus and Pyrrho, the founder of Pyrrhonist scepticism.
