Metohija
Metohija is the western part of Kosovo, a fertile basin drained by the White Drin that includes the towns of Peć, Prizren and Gjakova. Its name comes from the Greek word for church estates, recalling the lands of medieval Serbian monasteries such as the Patriarchate of Peć. Albanians call the region Dukagjin.
