Milot
Milot is a town in northern Haiti, about 20 kilometres south of Cap-Haïtien. Henri Christophe built his royal palace of Sans-Souci there from 1810, and the Citadelle Laferrière stands on the mountain above it. The palace was badly damaged by the earthquake of 1842 and now lies in ruins, visited as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
