Mole-Dagbani
The Mole-Dagbani are a group of related peoples of northern Ghana and Burkina Faso, including the Mamprusi, Dagomba, Nanumba and Mossi, who speak closely related Gur languages. Their traditions trace their ruling houses to the chief Na Gbewaa and his descendants, who from about the 15th century established kingdoms led by mounted warrior aristocracies over earlier farming peoples.
