Moroccan Army of Liberation

The Moroccan Army of Liberation was an irregular force formed in 1955 to fight French and Spanish colonial rule in North Africa. After Moroccan independence in 1956 it continued operations in the Spanish-held south, attacking Ifni and Spanish Sahara in the Ifni War of 1957-1958. It was later dissolved, many of its fighters joining the Moroccan army.
