Morogoro

Morogoro is a city in eastern Tanzania at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains, about 190 kilometres west of Dar es Salaam on the Central Line railway. It is an agricultural centre and the seat of the Sokoine University of Agriculture. In 1969 it hosted the Morogoro Conference of the African National Congress, and the ANC's Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College stood nearby at Mazimbu.
