Mühlhausen
Mühlhausen is a town on the Unstrut in north-western Thuringia, Germany, which grew around a royal palace and was an imperial city from the late 12th century until 1802. It was a member of the Hanseatic League. In 1525 the radical preacher Thomas Müntzer made it his base during the Peasants' War, and after his defeat he was executed outside its walls.
