Muskerry
Muskerry is a region of central County Cork, Ireland, west of the city of Cork, preserved in the baronies of East and West Muskerry. From the 14th century it was ruled by the MacCarthys of Muskerry, a branch of the MacCarthy kings of Desmond, who built Blarney Castle and were later created Viscounts Muskerry and Earls of Clancarty.
