Nagarakretagama

1365 · 14th century · Also known as Desawarnana

The Nagarakretagama, or Desawarnana, is an Old Javanese poem written in 1365 by the court poet Mpu Prapanca in praise of King Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit. It describes the court, royal tours and religious life, and lists nearly a hundred places across the archipelago claimed as Majapahit dependencies, making it a key source for 14th-century Indonesia.
