Nala dynasty
The Nala dynasty ruled parts of central India, around the Bastar region of modern Chhattisgarh and neighbouring Odisha, from about the fifth century. Known from coins and inscriptions, the Nalas fought the Vakatakas and were among the powers defeated by Kirtivarman I of the Chalukyas of Badami in the late sixth century as the Chalukyas expanded across the Deccan.
