Nekrasov Cossacks
The Nekrasov Cossacks were Don Cossacks and Old Believers who followed Ignat Nekrasov into exile after the failure of the Bulavin Rebellion in 1708. They settled first in the Kuban under the Crimean Khanate and later in Ottoman lands, in the Danube delta and Anatolia, where they kept their faith and customs for two centuries. Most of their descendants returned to the Soviet Union in 1962.
