Nokoni
The Nokoni were a division of the Comanche, whose name is usually translated as Those Who Turn Back or Wanderers. They ranged over north-central Texas between the Red River and the Brazos. Peta Nocona, father of Quanah Parker, was a leading Nokoni chief, and after the wars of the 1870s the band was settled on the Kiowa-Comanche reservation in Indian Territory.
