Notre-Dame-la-Grande
Notre-Dame-la-Grande is a Romanesque collegiate church in Poitiers, in western France, built mainly in the late eleventh and twelfth centuries. Its west front, covered with carved figures of prophets, apostles and scenes of the Annunciation and Nativity, is one of the masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture in western France. The church stood near the palace of the counts of Poitou and dukes of Aquitaine.
