Nurullah Bey
Nurullah Bey was the last emir of Hakkari, the Kurdish principality in the mountains of south-eastern Anatolia. In the 1840s he joined Bedir Khan Bey of Bohtan in attacks on the Assyrian Christians of the Hakkari mountains, which drew European protest. Ottoman forces then suppressed both emirs and abolished the emirate in the mid-1840s.
