Nuzi
Nuzi was an ancient Hurrian town near modern Kirkuk in northern Iraq. Thousands of cuneiform tablets found there document its society and economy in the mid-second millennium BCE. It was a vassal of the Mitanni Empire, illustrating Mitanni's control over the region east of the Tigris.
