Hurrians
The Hurrians were a people of the ancient Near East, speaking a language unrelated to Semitic or Indo-European tongues, who were widespread in northern Mesopotamia, Syria and Anatolia. They formed the main population of the Mitanni Empire, ruled by an Indo-Aryan elite. Hurrian religion and culture also strongly influenced the Hittite Empire.
