Odawara
Odawara is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on Sagami Bay at the eastern foot of the Hakone mountains. From the late 15th century Odawara Castle was the seat of the Later Hojo clan, who made it one of the largest castle towns in eastern Japan until Toyotomi Hideyoshi besieged and took it in 1590. In the Edo period it was a domain and a post town on the Tokaido road.
