Ombrone

The Ombrone is a river of southern Tuscany, Italy, which rises in the hills near Siena and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea south of Grosseto. Its lower plain was once largely occupied by the lagoon of Lake Prile, beside which the Etruscan city of Rusellae stood. The river's mouth lies in the Maremma Regional Park.
