Padang Roco inscription

1286 · 13th century

The Padang Roco inscription is an inscription of 1286 carved on the base of a statue of Amoghapasa found at Padang Roco in Dharmasraya, West Sumatra. It records that King Kertanegara of Singhasari sent the statue from Java as a gift to the Malayu king Tribhuwanaraja Mauli Warmadewa, to the joy of his people. It is key evidence for Javanese influence in Sumatra after the Pamalayu expedition.
