Panarukan

Panarukan is a coastal town in Situbondo Regency on the north coast of East Java, Indonesia. In the 16th century it was a port of the Hindu kingdom of Blambangan, and Sultan Trenggana of Demak died during a campaign against it in 1546. It later became the eastern end of the Great Post Road built across Java under Governor-General Herman Willem Daendels.
