Person
Trenggana
Trenggana was sultan of Demak in Java from about 1521 to 1546, under whom the sultanate reached its greatest extent, conquering much of eastern Java and taking Sunda Kelapa. He was killed during a campaign against Panarukan in 1546, and the succession war that followed broke up Demak and led to the rise of Pajang.
