Peace of Olomouc

1479 · 15th century · Part of the Bohemian–Hungarian War (1468–1478)

The Peace of Olomouc of 1479 ended the war between Matthias Corvinus of Hungary and Vladislaus II of Bohemia over the Bohemian crown. Both kept the title King of Bohemia: Vladislaus held Bohemia proper, while Matthias kept Moravia, Silesia and Lusatia, which could be redeemed after his death. The lands returned to Vladislaus when he succeeded Matthias in Hungary in 1490.
