Lusatia

Lusatia is a historical region in Central Europe between the Elbe and the Oder, divided into Upper and Lower Lusatia and today split between Germany and Poland. It is the home of the Sorbs, a Slavic people. Both parts belonged to the Lands of the Bohemian Crown from the fourteenth century until 1635, when they passed to Saxony; in 1815 most of the region went to Prussia.
