Pepin I of Aquitaine

Pepin I of Aquitaine was a son of the Carolingian emperor Louis the Pious and king of Aquitaine from 817 until his death in 838. He took part in the rebellions of Louis's sons against their father. These conflicts over the division of the inheritance contributed to the fragmentation of the Carolingian Empire.
