Providenciales

Providenciales is an island in the Caicos group of the Turks and Caicos Islands, a British overseas territory. Thinly settled until the late 20th century, it grew rapidly after a resort opened on its long Grace Bay beach in 1984 and an international airport was built. It is now the most populous island of the territory and the centre of its tourist and offshore financial industries.
