Purgatorio
Purgatorio is the second part of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, written in the early 14th century. It describes Dante's climb, guided by Virgil, up the mountain of Purgatory, where souls are cleansed of their sins before entering Paradise. Many of the people Dante meets are his contemporaries, among them Nino Visconti, the last judge of Gallura.
