Qatr al-Nada
Qatr al-Nada was the daughter of Khumarawayh, the Tulunid ruler of Egypt. Her marriage to the Abbasid caliph al-Mu'tadid, agreed in 892 and celebrated in Baghdad, sealed the peace between the Tulunids and the caliphate. Her dowry and trousseau were so lavish that they became legendary in Arabic literature and helped exhaust the Tulunid treasury. She died young, around 900, in Baghdad.
