Qutb Minar
The Qutb Minar is a tall minaret of red sandstone in Delhi, begun around the end of the twelfth century under Qutb ud-Din Aibak and completed by his successors. It stands within a complex that includes one of the earliest mosques in India. It exemplifies the Indo-Islamic architectural synthesis of the Delhi Sultanate.
