Rabbel II

d. 106 CE · 1st century · Also known as Rabbel II Soter

Rabbel II was the last king of the Nabataeans, reigning from about 70 to 106 CE. He came to the throne as a boy under his mother's regency and appears to have favoured Bostra in the north of the kingdom. After his death the Roman emperor Trajan annexed the kingdom, which became the province of Arabia Petraea.
