Raika dynasty
The Raika dynasty ruled the kingdom of Doti in far-western Nepal in the late medieval and early modern periods. Its kings traditionally claimed descent from the Katyuri rulers of Kumaon and governed from seats around Dipayal in the Seti valley. The last Raika king was defeated when the Gorkha armies of the Kingdom of Nepal conquered Doti around 1790.
