Person
Red Shoe
Red Shoe, or Shulush Homa, was a Choctaw war leader of the 18th century who broke with the nation's French alliance and sought trade with the British. His faction's killing of French traders in 1746 provoked a civil war among the Choctaw. He was assassinated in 1747, and the conflict between pro-French and pro-British towns continued until 1750.
