Regolini-Galassi tomb

c. 675–650 BCE · 7th century BCE

The Regolini-Galassi tomb is an Etruscan chamber tomb in the Sorbo necropolis of Caere (Cerveteri), found intact in 1836 by the priest Alessandro Regolini and General Vincenzo Galassi. Dating from about 675–650 BCE, it held gold jewellery, silver and bronze vessels and a chariot, showing the wealth of the Orientalising period. The finds are in the Gregorian Etruscan Museum of the Vatican.
