Resheph
Resheph was a Syrian and Canaanite god of plague, war and the underworld, worshipped from the third millennium BCE, when he appears as Rasap in the archives of Ebla. He was later venerated at Ugarit, in Cyprus and in New Kingdom Egypt, where pharaohs honoured him as a war god, and he was often shown brandishing a weapon and wearing a tall crown. In Cyprus he was identified with the Greek Apollo.
