Robertians

The Robertians were a Frankish noble family named after Robert the Strong, who defended the lands between the Seine and Loire against the Vikings in the 860s. His sons Odo and Robert I became kings of West Francia, rivalling the Carolingians, and his descendant Hugh Capet took the throne in 987, founding the Capetian dynasty.
