Sadyr Japarov

b. 1968 · 21st century

Sadyr Japarov is a Kyrgyz nationalist politician. Released from prison during the unrest after the disputed elections of October 2020, he became prime minister and acting president, then won the presidential election of January 2021. A referendum in 2021 restored strong presidential rule.
