d. 260 · 3rd century · Also known as Publius Licinius Cornelius Saloninus Valerianus

Saloninus was the younger son of the Roman emperor Gallienus. Left at Cologne as Caesar under the guardianship of the prefect Silvanus, he was proclaimed Augustus in 260 when the general Postumus revolted. Postumus besieged the city, and the garrison handed over Saloninus and Silvanus, who were put to death.
