Samborides

The Samborides were a dynasty that ruled Pomerelia, the region around Gdańsk on the lower Vistula, from the 12th century until 1294. At first governors for the Polish dukes, they became independent under Świętopełk II, who took the ducal title in 1227. The line ended with Mestwin II, who left his lands to Przemysł II of Greater Poland.
