Sant Joan de Caselles

11th–12th century · 11th century

Sant Joan de Caselles is a Romanesque church in the parish of Canillo, Andorra, built in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. It has a single nave, a semicircular apse and a Lombard-style bell tower of three storeys, and preserves a sixteenth-century painted altarpiece and a twelfth-century stucco figure of Christ, a rare survival of Romanesque stucco work.
