Sant'Apollinare Nuovo is a basilica in Ravenna built by Theodoric the Great in the early 6th century as his Arian palace church. Its nave mosaics show processions of martyrs and virgins, scenes from the life of Christ and a view of Theodoric's palace, from which figures of the Gothic court were later removed. It is part of a World Heritage Site.
